Problem
IGNITE, Humber’s student association, fosters community through engaging activities. To combat first-year isolation, their Speed Friending event offers a fun, inclusive space for new students to build lasting friendships during Orientation Day.
Strategy
This campaign was based on the concept "Friends Are One 'Hey' Away," featuring a wide range of ethnics and hellos in different languages to encourage strange connections. The design included bright illustrations to create a cheerful atmosphere at the event venue.
Process
We developed 6 different moodboards for the campaigns, based on our researches on the students' feelings and feedback from last year events. The deliverables included social media postings, printing assets, animation, web assets, and event decorations.
Impact
9285 enrolments, 1073 participants of all 5 campuses. The designs were later reused for the Winter Speed Friending. The event was reported positively as many people felt great with the new friends they made and with the immersively experiential spaces.
