Problem
Many young people feel isolated when facing mental health challenges like anxiety or burnout. Traditional resources often feel too clinical or overwhelming, leaving a need for a more empathetic and artistic approach to psychological wellness.
Strategy
The strategy was to bridge the gap between complex psychology and emotional storytelling. By pairing expressive illustrations with a supportive, light-toned editorial identity, the design transforms heavy topics into a safe and relatable reading experience.
Process
I researched four key areas: Depression, Anxiety, OCD, and Burnout. I developed a cohesive visual system with custom illustrations for each emotional state, then designed the full magazine layout, including feature spreads, covers, and supporting stickers and posters.
Impact
The final zine turns mental wellness into a visually comforting and educational tool. Through thoughtful storytelling and layout, the project helps young readers feel seen and understood, providing an inviting space to explore their inner struggles.
