Problem
This project is a redesign of AZURE, an American interior design magazine, focused on attracting younger readers. The magazine needed a more updated layout to feel relevant and easier to read, especially for a digital-first audience.
Strategy
I focused on creating a clean and flexible layout system that works across different types of content, while keeping the design simple and modern.
Process
I started by testing different grid systems and type pairings. I experimented with image-heavy layouts, full-bleed spreads, and minimal text pages to create more visual variety. I also redesigned different sections to improve flow and readability.
Impact
The final magazine feels more open, modern, and easier to follow. It presents content in a way that is more engaging for younger readers and works better across both print and screen. This project helped me get more comfortable with editorial layout and content organization.
